Boules

Thornton Le Dale Boules (Pétanque) Court is all go! Work is now complete - see the photos below. The boules Court is in

the grounds of the Village Hall (opposite the Classic Car Garage/Museum). There is easy, wheelchair friendly, access directly from the Village Hall car park.

Sufficient funding and voluntary help has been acquired for the construction of a dedicated boules court, on the grounds of the Village Hall. A grant from North Yorkshire County Council, a local fundraising event, donations of material and help to excavate the area of ground, have combined in bringing this project to fruition.

• The court will be available to all members of the local community and visitors.
• Sets of boules are available to borrow and ‘ have a go’ sessions will be arranged.
