We are a Ukulele music group located within the village and as you will see from the photographs below, we have a wide range of ages within the group! We have been playing together since 2014, starting as few players around a kitchen table, and we now number approximatley 60 players! The group is the brainchild of John Scoble who generously gives his time to provide excellent tuition, music and leadership. As well as leading the Thornton Dale Ukuleles John provides tuition to schools and other groups.
News update ... we have now raised over £56,000 for Charity since the group was formed.

We have great fun playing together and we perform at various venues and concerts. We are often invited to play for local organisations, retirement homes, and charity concerts.
John Scoble, David Swann and Thornton le Dale Ukuleles regularly present concerts together, in aid of various charities, Over recent years we have raised thousands of pound for charities and entertained several thousand people. We play to both large and small audiences.
Our sincere thanks to all those that help with the various concerts. All performers highly praise both the front-of-house and backroom staff, who do such a brilliant job in putting on these very successful events.
- Click on the photographs below to see us at our concerts. Put your mouse on the picture and arrows will appear, to allow you to scroll through the photos.
- Sometimes we are concentrating very hard, but, as you will see, most of the time we are thoroughly enjoying ourselves.
- We have superb audience participation
